Message from the President, Yasuo Kiyoe

 
A long time ago, three of us just graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo
decided to go for seemingly more-challenging export business rather than
settling for domestic affairs.
 
Our enthusiasm and determination to sell Japanese foodstuff and Sake
to the world to provide the customers with pleasure and benefit were so strong
that it did not seem to matter not enough capital or trade expertise were in place.
 
As predicted, we faced many difficulties on the way.
However, it gave us great joy to succeed in exporting
Nissin Cup Noodles to a grocery store in Camden Town,
a town popular among the young in London,
SOHANA Sake, Purveyor to the Japanese Imperial Household
to an importer in Moscow who was fond of everything Japanese,
A 30meter long tunnel-oven to bake Japanese style bread to Manaus, Brazil,
located on the other side of the earth from Japan.
 
Cosmo Shoji Inc. was established in the era of telex as a way of
international communication, managed through piles of facsimile papers
and reached the present time of email, smart-phone and SNS.
 
The communication methods have changed, but our motto hasn’t, and
our current members are as keen as ever to serve customers abroad.
